Some times I will watch an old show or movie from back in the day and wonder why a game was never made in its honor. Nowadays, nearly everything that graces the screen is almost guaranteed to be produced into some form of video game. Granted, most of these games turn out to be terrible but it is still the case and people still buy them otherwise they would not make them.
This had me wondering whether or not this is a good thing or a bad one. I know there are many movies and TV shows that I wish could have been a game, at least the child me from back then would have thought so. The question is, would that have enhanced my love of that piece of entertainment? Or caused me to hate it with a deep passion? With this thought in my mind, I started up good ‘ol Photoshop and played a little “what if” game, this is what I came up with.
The A-Team
In this action packed side scrolling video game for the Nintendo Entertainment system, you take action as B.A. Baracus. Kick butt while doing good in this thrilling games based on the highly rated TV show “The A-Team”! It is your time to be the tough guy now, play the game fool!
This is just one of many that are yet to come! Feel free to let me know what you think as i would be happy to take suggestions and see what we can do. I cannot guarantee that it will get done immediately but I will do the best that I can. Until then stay tuned for more editions of “The Retro That Never Was”!

What would hav been awsome was if they made it side scrolling but in ninja turtle or GI joe fashion, where you could pick a character and play with them until they were dead, each could have a special ability, Baracus could do devistating physical attacks, Faceman could have leaping ability, murdock could climb walls, and Hannibal could blow cigar smoke in enemies faces!
Ha! That is a great idea, chose your character opens up the multi-player option too. The cigar smoke is a nice touch, it should cause them to be dazed and get green faced when hit by a puff. Now if only I had the skills to actually make this in an NES format. I claim to have various talents but games development is not one of them.
Yeah multi player a la bad dudes!
You mean they didn’t have an A-Team game? I’m surprised. Most of the games for movies are pushed through so fast in order to come out with the movie that it’s no wonder they suck.
Have you seen that Angry Video Game Nerd guy on youtube? He’s foul mouthed but funny and has covered an unbelievable number of games. I think he has every system. Unreal. I have a Wii now, but I never got to have a Nintendo. My brother was firmly Team Sega.
Yeah, I was just as surprised that an A-Team game was not made back then. It would have been awesome though. I came across ‘Angry Video Game Nerd’ one time but I prefer ‘Zero Punctuation’, that dude is hilarious.
I grew up strictly Nintendo and arcade until PlayStation was born. To many peoples surprise I have not gotten a Wii yet. Now that my boys are older I want to get one. The fact that I can get a large amount of the old games I remember is worth it alone. I guess they only cost a buck each so that is great. I have to admit though I am a sucker for the old system, something about how it feels to play them the way I did as a kid.
