Classic in every way possible! I loved the theme and it was always followed by something sweet, because 80’s movies are the best! It always reminded me of Twilight Zone for some reason.
Yep. That intro screams 1980s. Really made we want to watch Ruthless People starring one Danny DeVito.
I didn’t have cable when I was a kid, so I never saw that. But I love it. I’m a sucker for fake, miniature cities. There’s something really quaint and charming about them.
The HBO tune has stuck with me for the majority of my life. Completely forgot about the miniature city scenes. So happy to have rediscovered this.
I’m happy that you rediscovered it too!!! 🙂
Wow, very cool. Haven’t seen that in years. Couldn’t recall how it went but it took me right back once the video started.
Remember the Cinemax intro? “Chills…” *hand comes up out of grave. “Thrills…” *some guy hanging from a rope over a cliff. And “Spills” *a car wrecking or something. Very fuzzy memories but they’re in there somewhere.
I don’t remember the Cinemax intro at all. We were strictly an HBO family. I’ll see if I can find it somewhere and I’ll post it.
