There are a great deal of movies that I adore from my childhood. Many of them are animated but then many of them are not. In the case of this mini post I would like to mention an animated feature. Transformers is an old favorite and I really loved the movie from 1986. It had so many elements to like; Orson Welles, Lenard Nimoy and Sam’s son Daniel saying “shit”. For a young boy it is just loaded with goodies.
As I was walking along memory lane, via YouTube, I came across a little gem of a video. Basically the movie had a promo reel made for Japan and I found it to be interesting. I guess they sort of used they Star Wars love to push this one but if you pay attention about half way through you will see they may have gotten carried away.
Thank you for reading,

Orson Welles was is such poor health he told reporters he was a big toy that did horrible things to smaller toys! Love this film, and I hate Michael Bay! couldn’t get through Transformers, didn’t even bother with the sequel, or are there two sequels, either way I will not waste my time.
Orson Welles is one of my favorite people who ever existed. Considering he was 70 when he voiced the movie and it was one of the last things he did I am not surprised by his state. I agree about the Micheal Bay movies even though I have seen them all. There are three by the way, I am a little worried about him as producer for TMNT but the director did Battle L.A. which I liked. I also here they dropped the idea of the turtles coming form space so that is good.
Is this the one where they killed Optimus Prime only to lamely bring him back later in the cartoon? It had some really awesome music if I recall.
“You’ve got the touch!”, oh yeah, I know the words to the main song. This movie is a prime example of level of geekery. The music really was epic, total 80s rock just the way I like it. They did kill Optimus, I remember my first time seeing this I was outraged. They also did bring him back but at least it was not as lame as how it was done in the Bay movies. They didn’t even wait until the next movie to bring him back in that reboot.
